01 — The center

An athlete becomes the center of a format.

The project began with a clear editorial center: Ron Dixon’s identity as a former professional football player and an active participant in adventure. The format was developed around that point of view rather than around a generic travel premise.

FuturaComm’s work connected series development, packaging and production-partner coordination, giving the property a coherent narrative and a concrete set of materials for the next conversation.

02 — The package

A package built for the conversation.

Key art, format language and production coordination gave partners and media a concrete property to evaluate. Contemporary coverage described the project as positioned for NBC Sports Network; that is an announcement from the period, not evidence of completed airing.

03 — The record

A public record around the project.

Sports Illustrated and USA Today / Giants Wire covered the project’s announcement and production involvement. The What a Rush interview adds Ron’s own perspective to the record.
